I really like this drawing.. and I can't believe how much time and effort you put into your pencil work... some of the drawings in your gallery are just mind boggling! I love how tidy you have kept this work.. and your working the HB pencils in the lighter areas is incredible and takes some real mastering. The moles on the breasts seem to be of the right depth and shade, the shoulder seems fine to me. The dress and flowers look as if you pasted them in with photoshop.. incredible!! I will however say this, and I am sure people will disagree with me here and boo my critique to the grave... however for me the eyes lack a little depth.. They are convincing though and as pencil work is 'not' my forte I have to say you are one incredible artist and I am following your work.. not just because you are a fellow kiwi... but because your work has to be some of the best I have seen in it's style.

The eyes and lips sort of come out from her face, as though she really is going to come up to you and say that she is here, she is Katy. The shading is delicate; you have parts that are very dark, yet you have parts that are pure white. I think you pulled this off nicely, because there is no smudging and the shading has very smooth transitions.
Her hair is another aspect that you pulled off well. It almost shows each individual strand, but it is enough like hair to make it seem as though it really all one thing.
I only have one thing for you to improve upon, if you believe that. Her shoulder, the one that can be seen, almost seems like a mistake, because that part of her arm is kind of thin.
I could not really find anything else, though. This is a very, very good portrait.
